Emiliano J. Buis is Professor of Public International Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and at the Central University of the Province of Buenos Aires. He is Director of the UBA Observatory of IHL and a Researcher at the National Research Council for Science and Technology, Argentina. He has been a member of the Committee for the Jean-Pictet Competition since 2012.
