Hernando Valencia Villa holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a Master's degree in Law and a Doctorate in the Science of Law from Yale University. He is former Professor of Public Law at the Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Externado, Colombia, former auxiliary judge in the Supreme Court, and Chairman of the Consejo Directivo of the Colombian Section of the Andean Commission of Jurists. Mr. Valencia Villa is currently Professor at the Institute of Political and International Studies, National University of Colombia. He is the author of four books: El Derecho de Resistencia a la Opresión (1973), El Anticonstitucional (1981), La Constitución de la Quimera (1982), and Cartas de Batalla (1987).
