Gus Waschefort is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Essex School of Law and Member of the Human Rights Centre. Prior to joining the University of Essex, he held academic appointments at the University of Pretoria and the University of South Africa. Between 2011 and 2013, Dr Waschefort was
appointed Legal Adviser to the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions.
