Vitit Muntarbhorn is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. He has written extensively in Thai and English on a wide range of topics, such as human rights, humanitarian law, international law and development, and refugees in Asia. At the grass roots, he runs projects to disseminate human rights to local people, especially children, in collaboration with UNESCO and UNICEF. He is currently translating the 1977 Protocols into Thai for the ICRC. His latest work is Shadowplay: The Legal Status of Refugees in Eight Asian Countries, to be published by the Refugee Studies Programme of Oxford University.
