Shanti Sumartojo is an Associate Professor of Design Research at Monash University and an Adjunct in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. She has written extensively about commemoration and memory sites, including the recent co-edited volume Commemorating Race and Empire in the First World War Centenary (2018) with Liverpool University Press and Presses Universitaires de Provence.
