Júlia Zomignani Barboza holds an LLM in international humanitarian law and human rights from the Geneva Academy. After concluding her LLM, she worked in the not-for-profit sector in Geneva, Bangkok and Sydney, before moving to Brussels, where she is currently developing her PhD research on undesirable but unreturnable migrants at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. At the same time, she contributes to university research projects such as the Brussels Privacy Hub's Data Protection in Humanitarian Action project, together with the International Committee of the Red Cross.
