Henri Meyrowitz, who holds a doctorate of laws, is an honorary lawyer at the Paris bar and a laureat of the Paris Faculty of Law. Born in Darmstadt in 1909, he studied at the University of Frankfurt and has been living in Paris since 1933. He is the author of La répression par les tribunaux allemands des crimes contre l'humanité et de l'appartenance à une organisation criminelle, Paris, 1968; Les armes biologiques et le droit international, Paris, 1968; Le principe de légalité des belligérants devant le droit de guerre, Paris, 1970, and of some 40 articles dealing with various aspects of the law of armed conflicts.
