Ms Georgia Dominik is a Social Affairs Officer in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (EOSG), working on the implementation of the Secretary-General's United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy. She is part of the Disability Inclusion Team in the Sustainable Development Unit of the EOSG, which coordinates United Nations system-wide implementation of the Strategy across the peace and security, humanitarian action, human rights and development pillars, in both programmes and operations. Prior to joining the Disability Inclusion Team, Georgia Dominik worked as the Inclusive Humanitarian and Disaster Risk Reduction Adviser in the International Disability Alliance Secretariat, a network of global and regional organizations of persons with disabilities. In this role, Ms Dominik advocated for the rights of persons with disabilities in the areas of humanitarian action, peace and security, coordinating the Alliance's advocacy in the drafting of Security Resolution 2475 and co-chairing the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Task Team which developed the IASC Guidelines on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action.
